What type of bike can I use?

Our Royal Windsor Triathlon event is draft-illegal - due to riding on the open road.

Our triathlon bike regulations are aligned with the BTF rules. For the allowable and non-allowable bike guide, please visit the British Triathlon Rule Book and navigate to pages 12-17.

For all draft-legal races, the following handlebar rules will apply:

• Only traditional drop handlebars are permitted. The handlebars must be plugged;

• Clip-ons will not be allowed from 1 January 2023.

For all draft-illegal races, the following rules on handlebars apply:

• Only handlebars and clip-on bars not extending beyond the leading edge of the front wheel will be

permitted. Clip-on bars in two pieces do not need to be bridged. All tube ends must be plugged.
